Dr. Mardy Leathers brings nearly two decades of experience in labor policy and practice. He serves on the executive leadership team at ACS providing strategic leadership and policy development for workforce and economic development solutions across the global renewable energy market. Dr. Leathers served as Director of the Missouri Office of Workforce Development from 2017 - 2022, a role appointed by Missouri’s Governor. During his tenure, he played a key role in reorganizing three state agencies, developed and led Missouri’s first state apprenticeship office - Apprenticeship Missouri, was heavily engaged in Missouri’s pandemic recovery efforts, developed key initiatives to expand Missouri’s labor market, co-led national initiatives with partner state associations, and served on a number of taskforces and gubernatorially appointed councils.
