Smart Regenerative and Profitable - How Youth Micro Retailers are Driving Both Profit and Climate Agenda
Evance Abok is an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist with core competencies spanning green economy, circularity, and climate change. Currently working in the environmental service sector, he champions sustainable development through diverse impact approaches including capacity-building, stakeholder engagement, awareness creation, fostering of strategic partnerships, and expert opinion contributions. Being a young person, Evance is also keen on advancing conversations around youth and sustainability and has previously contributed to discussions on key thematic areas including youth and green economy, youth, digital economy and sustainable future, and youth and climate change, across multiple platforms, including mainstream media, workshops, and conferences. His passion for sustainability is inspired by a profound recognition of the need for sustainable practices in a world with limited resources and growing demand. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Technology & Sustainability from The New York Institute of Technology, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Chuka University, Kenya. Evance is also a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship (2016), and dedicates his effort to advancing community development, in line with the spirt of the Fulbright Program.
