Strategies for Incentivizing the Private Sector in TVET Skills Development
Lana Chkhartishvili is Skillwill Georgia’s Country Director, overseeing the biggest online Neo University in the region. Skillwill provides ICT education (SDG 4 - Quality Education) and fosters employment opportunities (SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth) in Georgia. Lana is also the founder of NGO MinDoor, which focuses on civic education, youth empowerment, career development, and soft skills training. She actively promotes cross-sectoral partnerships through public-private dialogue and fundraising activities. Lana’s involvement extends to the Crowdfunding Association of Georgia (CFG) board since 2023 and the Advisory Board of the International Republican Institute – IRI Georgia “Build Georgia” project. In 2021, she received a scholarship for the executive leadership program “Global Village for Future Leaders” at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, USA. Lana’s commitment to sustainability includes work on Corporate Sustainability education and awareness at the UN Global Compact Network Georgia. Her educational journey includes a one-year FLEX academic scholarship in 2003, a US high school graduation, and a Texas State Award for “Student of the Year.” She pursued an MA degree at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and graduated in 2011 with an LLM in International Business Law. Currently, Lana is working on her PhD thesis at the Business and Technology University (BTU).
