Private Sector’s Critical Investment in Building a Green Workforce
Melanie Sany has spent 25 years leading workforce development and education initiatives across 25 countries. Her goal is to enhance workforce and livelihood development, particularly by providing youth with essential skills and support for success in the evolving job market. As the head of EDC’s International Youth and Workforce Development Team, Sany manages the creation and implementation of impactful systemic initiatives. Her approach combines insights from both the private and public sectors, utilizing multi-sector strategies for social innovation, entrepreneurship, and educational growth. She is at the helm of Our World Our Work, a decade-long project aimed at fostering youth employment and entrepreneurship within the green economy. Sany’s academic background includes an MBA and an MA from French institutions, and she is proficient in both French and English.
