Reflections from Multi-Stakeholder Youth Employment Alliances: Unpacking Successes, Bottlenecks, and Looking Ahead

Namita Datta, Program Head of Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE) at the World Bank, leads a multistakeholder global program that brings together private sector, CSOs, think tanks, and youth to curate and learn from innovative solutions for youth employment. With extensive experience in development issues, including jobs, youth employment, private sector development, and gender, she has authored research publications on topics such as digital technology, changing work dynamics, and gender inclusion. Namita also spearheaded the recent global report on online gig work. Prior to her World Bank tenure, she served as an IAS officer in India, overseeing urban services and policy development. She holds a PhD from Cornell University, an MIA from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
