Rahel

Rahel Kebede has Over 30 years of professional experience in financial services, investment banking, private equity, oil exploration, and grant-making working for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Rahel has been with Amref as the director of Youth Empowerment Fund Director since February 2022. Before that, Rahel has worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for more than seven years as a program coordinator where she gained experience in working closely with stakeholders including the Ethiopia Health Ministry. Prior to joining the Not-For-profit organizations, Rahel was working as a Chief of staff and office manager for an oil exploration company in Ethiopia. Rahel moved from New York City in 2010, where she worked as a financial analyst for a private equity firm and as a registered sales representative (Stockbroker) at Bear Stearns for nine years. Rahel has volunteered for several activities in the capacity of raising funds to support women and youth of Ethiopia.
