Building an Opportunity Youth Led Equity Leadership Program and Network

Rotho Mohammed is the first female Chair-person of the GOYN Mombasa Youth Advisory Groups. In this role, she leads the work of the GOYN Mombasa Youth Advisory Group and bring youth perspective into the overall livelihood pathways work of GOYN Mombasa and global young leader virtual engagements. She is part of a 20-member ELP designer group representing young leaders from 10 GOYN partner communities. The design process, supported in partnership with the Global Nomads Group, engaged 20 youth designers to create a global framework and program that will equip young people with the skillsets and mindsets to facilitate youth-led conversations and actions, engaging peers and adult-led institutions, to advance efforts to shift how opportunity gate-keepers perceive, engage, and invest in equitable opportunities for Opportunity Youth.
