Thriving Futures: Unleashing Climate-Smart Economic Opportunities to Build Youth Resilience
Shuvra Dutta is a committed and skilled environmentalist with a solid forestry educational foundation. He received his MS in Forestry from the University of Chittagong's Institute of Forestry & Environmental Sciences. He works as an Environmental Monitoring Assistant at Chemonics International, supporting the USAID Ecosystems/Protibesh project He conducted 41 trainings in two Key Biodiversity Areas to introduce TIMBY as a Citizen Reporting tool to the wetland basin community in Bangladesh. He motivated government officials about the necessity of TIMBY tools in data-driven decisions and environmental monitoring at local, regional and national levels as well as showed them how TIMBY system integrate all the levels in one platform. Prior to joining Chemonics, he was employed by the USFS as a Consultant during the program's mid-term evaluation and as a Research Assistant for a USAID-funded project aimed at rescuing the endangered Anisoptera scaphula plant.
