How Government-led Systems Strengthening can Unlock Sustainable Opportunities for Youth
Tshego Walker is a development professional and a Director in the Project Management Office in the Presidency, a unit in the Private Office of the President. She is the programme lead for the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention and is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the intervention within and outside of government. Before joining the Presidency, Tshego was a manager in the Human Development Practice at Genesis Analytics, an economics-based consulting firm. At Genesis, she led the School-to-Work Service Line, where she helped governments and their partners across the continent find solutions for youth unemployment. She has led large teams and managed multi-country, complex assignments for the World Bank, the International Labour Organisation and UNICEF amongst others. She has a BCOM Honours Degree from Wits University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Wits Business School, and is completing her Masters in Development Studies at Wits University.
